Apple Cake Recipe

It doesn't look like much but it sure tastes good. Trying to sell your house? Bake one of these when you show it. You'll get double your asking price. : )

Preheat oven 325 degrees.

Mix together the following ingredients in large mixing bowl:

1 cup oil

2 well beaten eggs

2 cups sugar

2 teaspoons vanilla

 

Then add:

3 cups flour

1 teaspoon cinnamon

1/2 teaspoon salt

1 teaspoon baking soda

 

Mix well then add:

3 cups raw apple chunks

Spread in bottom of ungreased 9x13 panMixture is very heavy - almost like cookie dough consistency

 

Bake for 1 hour

 

Note: While this is a great plain cake I have also made it with a streusel topping Streusel Topping

Before baking, mix together and sprinkle on top of batter:

1/2 cup sugar

2 tablespoons flour

2 teaspoons cinnamon

2 tablespoons melted butter
